Alibi recently changed their name having played under the alias Bundy for several years. The act started out with Alan Reid playing as a solo artist in local pubs. Now with the backing of a band he plays a variety of original material and covers with a good local fan base. The band acquitted themselves well at last years Wizard festival drawing one the biggest crowds of the weekend to the Acoustic Tent. Influences include the The Verve and Proud Mary. Dude Ranch 69 are a young punk rock band with energy in abundance. Their influences include bands like Greenday, Blink 182 and Fallout Boy. Dude Ranch play a mixture of their own material and covers. The band emerged after the break-up of The Defiance who had proved a popular local band over past years reaching the Foyer battle of the bands final and finishing second last year. Aberdeen and Fraserburgh 'Dirty Blues' act Liars Dice, who rose from the ashes of Pure Lead just over a year ago, will headline the evening and will be one of two bands playing, along with Alibi, who played at last years Wizard Festival.
Liars Dice, whose music is inspired by the likes of Muddy Water and the Rolling Stones, emerged a year after the break-up of popular rock local act 'Pure Lead' with Matthew Carle on vocals and Bill Duthie and Christopher Smith on lead guitar.
